The ship served as a floating workshop for Luftwaffe seaplanes.
Flugssicherungsschiff Boelcke was built in December 1942 at the Norderwerft Koser & Meyer Hamburg shipyard, building number 745. Since launching, it served in SNDF (ost). It sank 17.04.45 hit by a bomb during the raid. 20 sailors were killed.
Works on completing the identification are still ongoing, although at this stage it can be assumed that this is Boelcke.
